Our children should aware about the political system of Pakistan, knowledge about other rapid developments in Pakistan, region and in the world, so they should prepare themselves for their future responsibilities. A Quiz Program at TLS was arranged on 30th April 2009 where students proved that they are not satisfied only on their curriculum but also getting further awareness from TLS. Children should be fully aware of the politics and the rapid developments being made throughout the world, specially our beloved nation. It is essential because these young souls will be molding the fate of our nation tomorrow.
A quiz program was held at The Learning School on April 30th, 2009 to spread this awareness amongst the students. The faculty divided the students fairly into two categories: The Senior Group consisting of students from the fifth grade to the tenth grade, and the Junior Group, composed of students below the fifth grade at the school. Further classification resulted in the students being divided into four houses, which were named after Sir Syed Ahmad khan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and Mr Muhammad Ali Johar, some of the major organs of the Pakistani movement. A very interesting competition followed. In the end, Mr Olaf Kellerhoff, Resident Representative Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit who was the chief guest of the event, gave away the prizes. He stated that he was pleased with the steps taken by the management of the institution to spread awareness amongst the children in the society. Other special guests included Ms Munazza Batool, Project Coordinator at FNF, and Ms Ines Budarick, a German Intern working at FNF Pakistan office. The effort proved to be a complete success.Earlier that day, students from The Learning School, dressed in beautiful and colorful Pakistani traditional attire, welcomed Mr Kellerhoff when he arrived on the campus. He examined the studies and the latest techniques being used to provide the best quality education to the students at the school.
The building dearly needed an extension to accommodate more classes of pupils. Mr Kellerhoff laid the foundation of a new block of the academic centre which was to be comprised of six class rooms. He also made a generous personal donation of two Lac and fifty thousand rupees for the construction of two out of the six class rooms in the block.
Dr. Noor Ahmed Akhtar (Chairman Kot Radha Kishen Development Turst), Mr Muhammad Yaseen (the Principal of The Learning School), and Mr Ali Ahmed (the Vice Principal of the institution) thank the guests for their visit to the School.
