The Learning School

The Learning School is proud to having a large play is for the students. It is not fair to make students from all grades share a common playing area so the play ground is divided into two sections; The first part is one third of the total area and is meant for students from nursery to class four. The second part is fully equipped according to the need of elder students and is shared by children from grade 5th till the students in grade 10th.

As the children in younger classes (from nursery to class 4th) are not so mature and need special care during the recess period or during their games time, teachers and security guards are directed to supervise their activities during their visit to the play ground. To attract the children, in this area colourful swings have been installed. Beautifully shaped flowers and mowed grass provide an elegant and neat look. Some of the trees in this area have been planted by the honorable guests who attended some of the special days at The Learning School and remind us of the memorable events of the school's history.

A swimming pool is also constructed with marble tiles for the younger souls. The students have learned how to take care of the environment around us. There have been very few cases when a pupil is seen plucking a flower, littering around the ground, or damaging the garden. This makes the administration really proud.

The two third area of the play ground is allocated for the students of Class Five to Class Ten. Students are fully able to play cricket, football or other healthy sports. Students of TLS mostly love to race. Physical Education Teacher monitors the children in the play ground and coaches the students regularly. The administration admits that it is not able to hire the services of a well qualified Physical Education Teacher due to the lack of funds so it makes the staff members perform this duty. Also, the games and events related to sports have always been localized inside the campus. It is how ever planning to arrange events- such as a sports fair- in which students of TLS, along with students from other schools in the area, will compete at Tehsil level. The students are also allowed to play tennis at the place where the morning assembly is held.

Thus the need of a beautiful and well equipped sports field is not neglected in The Learning School. The schools field not only is used for sports, but also is equipped with a wide portable stage and is used for some events held at School. The management plans to hold sports events at a bigger scale and construct a boundary wall or steel fences around the ground in the near future.
